The Smart-99 seesaw consists of a balancing element and a stand (optional adjustment of height). Because of the simple plug-in construction this item can be assembled within minutes and can be set up by a single person alone. By adjusting the balance the running direction can be changed within in seconds. Sandbags can be placed onto the horizontal interfacing as weights to increase the stability under load at tournaments. The special shock-absorbing nature of Smart-99-running surfaces is based on the floating mounting. The running surfaces are not bolted onto the stiff aluminium-frame, but instead mounted flexibly on a ''rubber pad''. This method which is borrowed from the aviation industry guarantees optimal damping without the bouncing of the contact zone equipment which is harmful to joints.
